The changes in social position of the population of Buryatia under the transformation conditions

The article is devoted to the change in the social situation of the population of Buryatia in the transformation of society. The paper contains the basic socio-economic indicators and indicators of living standards, state of health, as well as it contains the employment rates of the population. The main trends in the gender and age structure, as well as quantitative and qualitative aspects of changes in the composition of the population have been considered. The consistent patterns of the reproduction of population, its socio-economic conditionality, as well as the specific manifestations of demographic processes in the region are analyzed. The characteristic of the present demographic situation in Buryatia is given.
