This article discusses the key aspects of the functioning and development of transport infrastructure and logistics supply chains. The relevance of this study is due to the importance of these issues in terms of ensuring the national and economic security of the state, socio-economic development, effective functioning of economic entities, their financial and economic activities. The purpose of this study is to assess the dynamics of the development of transport infrastructure and logistics supply chains in the Russian Federation in the context of the impact of the coronavirus pandemic. The coronavirus pandemic in 2020 led to a number of negative changes at the macro level: a decline in business and investment activity, changes in labor market conditions, growth rates of monetary incomes of the population, imports and exports, a collapse in oil prices. Transport infrastructure and logistics chains were also under serious pressure: for most of the analyzed categories of cargo turnover indicators, the volume of loading of the main types, either a slowdown in growth rates or negative dynamics is noted. In order to achieve the goals and objectives of the study, the authors considered the dynamics of indicators of the volume of agricultural products, exports and imports, cargo turnover by means of transport, the volume of loading of the main types of goods, the index of tariffs for freight transportation in the transport complex and inflation in the economy for 2016-2020. The authors revealed positive dynamics of development in the agro-industrial complex: in 2016-2020, the volume of agricultural products increased by 26.53%, and the volume of loading of grain and milling products by 25.4%. The products of the agro-industrial complex of the Russian Federation are in great demand on the world food market and occupy one of the key places in the export structure. The state provides substantial support to this sector of the economy: the implementation of state programs also allows minimizing the costs and expenses associated with the transportation of agricultural and food products.
