The authors conducted a study and proved that basil essential oil has a pronounced antimicrobial effect in relation to the studied gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, as well as fungi of the genus Candida. Based on the data obtained, this studied drug can be recommended for use in the manufacture of new antimicrobial agents.
