Studying of dynamics of imbition of seeds of kidney bean of «Saxa» cultivar (Phaseolus vulgaris L.)

The article presents the data on the process of imbibition of kidney bean seeds of «Saxa» cultivar. It is found out that the process of imbibition of kidney bean seeds involves two stages: the stage of seed impermeability for water and the stage of weight change over time until reaching a certain maximum. We found a mathematical model of imbibition process which made it possible to determine the mass of kidney bean seeds at a certain moment without experimental measurements. The obtained results can be used to determine the optimum conditions for pre-sowing processing of seeds.
