Study of source material for soybean breeding in the Middle Volga region

In the conditions of the Middle Volga region the study of soybean collection was carried out in order to identify valuable varieties by economic characteristics, to include them in the selection. The study found that all varieties of early maturing type, with a very short (85-90 days) and short (91-110 days) vegetation period. The sources of high seed productivity are revealed: М1, Krasiva mecya, Mageva, Harkovska, Volma, Labrador и Gentleman; high protein accumulation in seeds: Donska, Maleta, Severna 2, Gaterslebener Stamm 54/14, Novosibirska 2, DG5, Ayselda, Aynina, Belosnejyka, Effi. Suitable for combine harvesting: Oressa, Bydgoska, VNIIOZ 31, Kalmit, Soer 5, Zakat, Nordie 357, DG1, Lik, Fiskeby, Gentleman.
