The study of bronze and early iron ages monuments of Mongolia in pre-revolutionary Russia (second half XIX - early XX cent.)

This article considers the history of study of khiriksuurs, slab graves, deer stones, rock paintings and other monuments of Bronze and Early Iron Age in Mongolia by Russian researchers in pre-revolutionary period. The author shows the contribution of scientists-travelers to the formation of source base on them, to the development of chronology and interpretation of obtained materials.
