Study of weapon items and images from ancient and medieval archeological localities in the Naryn river valley and Issyk-Kul basin

The article analyzes the findings of weapon items and arms depicting on the kurgan stelaes and petroglyphs from archeological locations of ancient and medieval culture of nomads. These findings were analyzed by joint archaeological expedition of the Kyrgyz National University, «Manas» Kyrgyz-Turkish University and Naryn State University in 2014field season including researchers of the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography of the Academy of Sciences and Novosibirsk State University in the Naryn valley. Materials collected in the process of excavation are valuable informative source of the military history of the nomadic ethnic groups living in Kyrgyzstan in ancient times and in the Middle Ages.
