The research of scotch pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) growth in pure and mixed phytocenosis on sandy-loam soil in dry steppe conditions

The assessment of living condition and linear indices of Scotch pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) and acutifoliate willow (Salix acutifolia Willd.) in the steppe pure and mixed artificial phytocenosis are presented in the article. The shoot growth and needle parameters on side shoots of the 1st and 2nd sequence of Scotch pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) are studied. It is found that the best linear Scotch pine growth indices in mixed phytocenosis are observed when introducing the acutifoliate willow single row into the plantation.
