Yakut monastery of the Savior: stages of activity

Yakut Monastery of the Savior, founded in the middle of the XVII century, was the first community of orthodox monks in the northeast of the Russian state. The author offers a periodization of the history of the monastery associated with the directions of its activities and identifies four main periods when the monastery not only performed the functions of monastic religious community, but also was a center of spiritual administration and education, conducted missionary work and was an economic entity. The paper presents previously unknown information about the existence of monastic agricultural community in 1919-1922.
