The special aspects of the Japanese intervention have been shown, which was not only of military, but also of strongly-marked economic nature. The milstones of the Japanese intervention have been investigated too. The Japanese imperialists' fight over the dominance in the Russian Far East in the context of the weak occupation density, as well as the problems in the economic and social spheres, showed region's political instability, weighed down with the consequences of the Civil War and aggravated by the foreign intervention. After the end of the military intervention, Japan did not abandon its aggressive goals towards Russia, which can be observed in the recent time.
