Chinese language and culture as effective instruments of soft power concept in implementation of China’s foreign policy

The article describes the policy of the People''s Republic of China regarding the promotion of Chinese language and culture within the country and overseas. Forming a positive image of the country, the China’s authorities attach a great significance to spreading the Chinese language in the world. This is considered to be a crucial part of the "soft power" concept in the general line in the foreign policy of the People''s Republic of China on the current stage.
