Language between utopia and reality in the novel by I. Bachmann “Malina”

The concept of language, which is of primary importance for understanding of the creative and philosophical conception of I. Bachmann, is considered in this article, the novel “Malina” being taken as the example. Correlation and interconnection of language with such concepts as “silence”, “consciousness”, “utopia”, “being” are researched. The analysis of the linguistic problem in the novel “Malina” lets reveal the attitude of I. Bachmann to the problem of searching for an authentic word’s in the situation of cultural and spiritual crisis of the 20th century.
