The language environment as part of the ethnic picture of the world

The purpose of the study is to examine the interrelation of the language environment in which the ethnic group with its picture of the world and the development of national identity exists. Scientific novelty of the article consists of the fact that the author reveals the connection between linguistic picture of the world ethnicity and general picture of the world, formed in the consciousness of the ethnic group. Moreover, the author analyzes various approaches to the study of these problems in modern scientific thought and determines the fundamental characteristics of ethnic life, exploring the linguistic picture of the ethnic group as an integral structural part of the overall picture of its worldview. The author comes to a conclusion that the language is a kind of internal code of the ethnos, the key to its picture of the world and the cultural tradition formed by the ethnos.
