The STRENGTH microconcept is considered as one of the components of the POWER concept in the British political discourse. The material was the public speeches of prominent British politicians. The lexical material is selected and studied in accordance with the methods of contextual, conceptual and component analysis. Based on the study of practical material, three categories have been identified that objectify the STRENGTH microconcept: physical strength, psychic strength and socio-political strength. According to the results of the study, the category “socio-political power”, which is represented by several sources, was singled out as the main category representing the STRENGTH microconcept most frequently. It is concluded that, due to certain goals of political discourse, such components as physical and mental strength are less frequently represented.
