Efficient forest management is an ecologically balanced intensive forest management model

The article deals with the problems and features of modern forest management. The author notes that the problem of degradation of exploited territories is quite acute in the country, since the forest management system is far from optimal. The amount of income received by the state from the use of forest resources in the country is less than half of the budget funds spent on forest protection and forestry. The necessity of applying a balanced approach in forest management, maintaining a favorable environment and natural wealth of the state, meeting the needs of both present and future generations of Russians, which will allow the country's timber industry complex to increase its competitiveness in the world market, is determined.
