The effective space - factor in the development of the Komi Republic

The analysis of global and Russian trends in the strategic planning, the best samples of spatial organization in regional strategies of socio-economic development in Russia determined that the spatial approach as one of the new factors in the territorial development becomes a priority of long-term socio-economic development of the region.The "action space" concept understands space as material objects for the implementation of activity. Its improvement is the essence of spatial development realized as a correction of the territorial frame.The paper describes the features of regional space: high concentration of economic base and social services; breaks in transport connectivity; infrastructure constraints in living and business development; instability of the settlement system. The project of the Strategy of socio-economic development of the Komi Republic till 2030 sets strategic directions of the formation of a balanced, well-equipped and connected space.
