In the conditions of the south-east of the Central Chernozem Region, the influence of symbiotic microbial preparations on chickpea crops was studied. The seeds were inoculated before sowing. The preparations were obtained from the All-Russian Institute of Agricultural Microbiology. The soil of the experimental site is ordinary (segregated) medium-humus chernozem. The use of microbial strains increased the amount of chlorophyll in the leaves of cultivated crops. The maximum increase when using strains 527 and 522 - by 15.6 and 13.6%, respectively. At the same time, inoculants have a greater effect on chlorophyll a. There was a significant increase in yield under the influence of symbiotic nitrogen fixers to 3.4 c/ha.
