The effectiveness of humic fertilizers in the cultivation of maize hybrids on ordinary chernozem

The results of research on the use of humates in the cultivation of maize hybrids of Hungarian breeding under the conditions of ordinary chernozems of the North Kazakhstan Region are presented. The purpose of the research is to develop a technology for the use of humic fertilizers in the cultivation of various maize hybrids on ordinary chernozem in the forest-steppe of Northern Kazakhstan. Field experiments were carried out in 2018-2019 at the North Kazakhstan Research Institute of Animal Husbandry and Crop Production. The availability of mobile P2O5 in the soil is low (30 mg/kg), that of N-NO3 is average (15.9 mg/kg), that of mobile potassium is high (K2O - 412 mg/kg), humus content amounts to 5.7%, pH (aq.) is 7.0. Higher productivity was observed in the MV 270 hybrid than in the MV 170: the yield in the control amounted to 25.13 and 21.85 t/ha, respectively.
