Efficiency and dynamics of energy consumption in the region

Problems of energy consumption and energy security of the Republic of Mordovia are analysed in the article. A number of measures aimed at the increase of this index are offered. The necessity for implementation of ener- gy-saving policy as a system approach to the increase in energy consumption in gross regional product is underlined.
