Efficiency of investments in fixed assets of agriculture by regions of the Russian Federation

The results of the analysis of the effectiveness of investments in fixed assets of agriculture by regions of the country for the investment periods 2000-2003 and 2004-2007 are presented. More than 22.7 thousand indicators were included in the analytical development. The regions of Russia with the highest and lowest efficiency indicators of investments in fixed assets of agriculture in terms of the cost of all industry products have been identified. Additionally, the level of efficiency of investments in fixed assets of agriculture in the regions of the country was assessed on the basis of the following indicators: commissioning of fixed assets of agriculture; acreage of crops; gross harvest of grain, potatoes, vegetables, fruits and berries, sunflower, sugar beet; production of livestock and poultry, milk, eggs, wool and honey. The changes in the levels of efficiency of investments in fixed assets of agriculture by regions of the country over two investment periods are noted in detail.
