The article examines the effectiveness of the modular approach in developing the creative abilities of high school students in extracurricular activities in accordance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard for Higher Professional Education. The place of the modular approach in program design is considered. The results of diagnostics of the effectiveness of the modular approach in the development of creative abilities of high school students are presented.
