According to the National calendar of preventive vaccinations, immunization of children and adults is actively carried out in the Republic of Mordovia. The effectiveness of routine vaccination is evidenced by a decrease in the incidence of whooping cough, tuberculosis, measles, viral hepatitis B, the absence of cases of diphtheria, rubella, mumps, poliomyelitis. The increase in the total incidence of acute respiratory viral infections and influenza in the population by 27.1% in 2020 compared to 2019 is due to the spread of a new coronavirus infection and lower influenza vaccination coverage.
