Efficiency of application new organic and mineral complex Geoton by the cultivation of grain crops and corn

To increase the productivity and quality of crops in the Russian Research Institute of Radiology and Agroecology (Obninsk, Kaluga region), a new biologically active organic and mineral complex GEOTON based on peat was developed, with a high content of elements of mineral nutrition of plants and humates. GEOTON is intended both for presowing seed treatment, including potato tubers; and for the surface treatment of vegetative plants. It is used in small doses - 1 litre/ha. The article presents data about the effectiveness of the application of the GEOTON complex in cereals and maize. Based on studies carried out under the production conditions in the Kaluga and Bryansk regions on various types of soils, it has been established that the use of GEOTON in cereals provides an increase in productivity: spring wheat by 17-45%, barley by 15-37%, oats - by 16-36%, winter wheat by 12-40%, triticale - by 13-14% in comparison with the technology of the farm. The content of protein in barley and oat grains on derno-podzolic sandy loam soils under the treatment with GEOTON increased by 1.2-2.2% compared to untreated crops. Processing of vegetative plants of corn grown on silage with GEOTON increased the yield by 15-28% and allowed to obtain 4.2-8.0 t/ha of green mass of the crop additionally on derno-podzolic soils. The use of GEOTON in local technologies for the cultivation of spring and winter cereals, as well as corn for silage, in farms of various forms of ownership, is a highly effective method of increasing yields and improving the quality of products. The new organic and mineral complex GEOTON is a promising drug for use in agricultural production.
