The effectiveness of the application of exemption from criminal liability

The article considers topical issues of the institution of exemption from criminal responsibility in the Russian legislation. The article identifies main problematic aspects of legal regulation in this sphere, connected with lack of certainty and specification of conditions of discharge from responsibility. Special attention is paid to the inadequacy of the legislative regulation of certain types of exemption from criminal responsibility, and the tasks of implementing the effective application of the norms of exemption from criminal responsibility are also considered.
