Modern technologies in rehabilitation of patient after total knee replacement

A study of 96 patients was conducted to identify the benefits of using continuous passive motion (CPM) therapy and Hilotherapy in the rehabilitation of patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty scheme. Patients had undergone surgery for total knee arthroplasty in Burdenko Military Clinical Hospital for the period from February to June 2017. Patients were divided into three groups. First group included 32(33,3) patients, who after the total knee arthroplasty in the early post operative period undergoing CPM- therapy and Heliotherapy. The second group 30 (31,25%) of patients in the early postoperative period had undergoing only CPM- therapy, and finally the patients of third group 34(35,4%) in the early postoperative period undergoing with the traditional pattern of post-operative rehabilitation. The results of the study revealed that the application of modern technologies (CPM- therapy and heliotherapy) in post operative rehabilitation improve the final result of total knee arthroplasty.
