Efficiency of grain production in agricultural organizations

The strategic priority of the state policy of the Russian Federation in the field ofensuring food security is to increase the production of agricultural products, rawmaterials and food, including grain and its processed products, since the grainsubcomplex is a backbone segment of the agro-industrial complex. In this regard,economists, agricultural scientists pay great attention to the study of issues related toassessing the effectiveness of the development of grain farming and the search forfactors that ensure its profitable operation in the modern conditions. The indicators ofintensification of agricultural production in the agricultural organizations of the Orelregion with the help of abstract-logical, economic-statistical, computational-constructive research methods are evaluatedin the presented material; an analysis ofthe dynamics of gross yields, sown area and yield of grain and leguminous crops for2018-2022was also made. The structural content of the grain wedge of agriculturalenterprises in the region was analyzed. The composition and structure of productioncosts per 1 ha of sown area of grain and leguminous crops in agriculturalorganizations, the indices of the total cost and the average selling price of grain andseeds of grain and leguminous crops have been studied in detail. The efficiencyindicators of grain production were calculated and evaluated. The attention isfocused on the priorities that ensure profitable agricultural production - reducingdirect costs by increasing the level of labor productivity, decreasing losses, optimallogistics, which require constant reproduction and modernization. It is concluded thatraising the volume of grain production contributes to increasing the efficiency of thedevelopment of the agricultural sector, ensuring the integrated development of ruralareas, and the formation of a single economic space.
