Effectiveness of a regional parliament: quantity versus quality

The paper examines the correlation between the number of deputies and effi-ciency of the parliamentary work exemplified by the Arkhangelsk Regional Assembly of Deputies. Statistical information on the work of the Parliament in the previous convocations for different number of deputies was analyzed. Recommendations for improving the effectiveness of the Arkhangelsk Regional Assembly of Deputies are given.
