Efficiency of agricultural land use in different categories of the economic entities of the Bryansk region

Recently, interest in the problem of the economic effectiveness of agricultural production has grown substantially. But, nevertheless, problems of the land-utilization are not sufficiently disclosed and need to be studied. When comparing the characteristics of effectiveness of land-utilization in the municipal districts of the Bryansk region, natural and cost indicators of various categories of farms were applied and rating and index methods were used, which made it possible to do the region zoning. The level of land development in the region is 53,8 %. Agricultural organizations use 87,3 % of the area of farmland, 5,7 % - collective (farmer) farms and individual entrepreneurs and 7 % - households. In the structure of farmland in the region, the percent of arable land is 61,7 % which is being used by 74 %.
