The effectiveness of ultrasound HIFU-ablation of uterine fibroids, depending on the type of MR fibroids

A study of the effectiveness of HIFU-based ablation of uterine fibroids by MR types of fibroids. The study included 66 patients who had 119 fibroids. Revealed that there is a relationship effectiveness of HIFU-ablation MR types. After 1 month after HIFU-ablation of fibroids I and type II MR is not significantly decreased (I-type MR - 2%, II-type MR - 8%) for the MR node type III showed an increase in the size of 40%, which due to the structural features of this type of fibroids. After 6 months, a decrease of fibroids was: I MR type - 32%, II-type MR - 45%, III MR type - 35%.
