The effectiveness of diagnosis of electronic engine management systems in operation in car maintenance

Results of research directed to increase in effectiveness of maintenance of vehicles, equipped with electronic engine management systems (EEMS) are given. Influence of the malfunctions of EEMS arising in use on key parameters of engine run is considered. For ensuring operating state of EEMS the system of diagnosing of its technical condition for the purpose of identification of the damages hidden in it which lead to engine run violation, and at untimely troubleshooting to the complete or partial loss of serviceability by it is offered. Diagnosing of EEMS is carried out according to the algorithms developed for each its subsystem (air deliveries; fuel deliveries; changes of phases of the gas-distributing mechanism; decrease in toxicity of the fulfilled gases), reflecting technical condition of the structural elements entering it.
