Recently, considerable attention of researchers has been paid to postpartum contraception, since the onset of an unwanted pregnancy close to delivery carries significant risks for the mother and the unborn child. The generally accepted concept of the "postpartum period" means the first 6 weeks or 40 days, since only by 3-4 weeks the external cervical os closes, by the 8th week the endometrium is restored, hormonal changes caused by the disappearance of placental hormones and the onset of lactation, a woman must adapt to many physical, social and psychological changes, learn how to properly care for a newborn.
