Efficiency of wheat-fallow crop rotation with chemical fallow

The current research on the influence of fertilizers and herbicides on weed infestation of crops, water-use ratio and yielding capacity of soft spring wheat grains in field wheat-fallow four-course crop rotation (fallow - wheat - wheat - wheat) was carried out in 2016-2019. Samples were laid out on the meadow-chernozem soil of the southern forest-steppe of the Omsk Region. Under fallow, crops were treated twice with a non-selective herbicide (Glifor, aq. sol. - 4 l/ha). In the following three courses after fallow the crops were cultivated against two different fertilizing backgrounds: without fertilizing procedures and with the application of ammophos (N12P52) in the first course after fallow and of ammonium saltpeter in the sowing of the second and third courses. The herbicide Puma Plus, EC (1.4 l/ha), was used against both backgrounds in the first and second courses after fallow. In the third course, crops were not treated with herbicides.
