Echocardiographic changes in early stages of chronic kidney disease

The article presents the data of patients with different stages of CKD during EchoCG. Hypertrophy of the left ventricle was detected in 43 (74.1%) patients. LVMI was statistically significantly higher in stage 3 of CKD compared to the first stage, being statistically significantly p<0.05. The main type of LV remodeling in patients with chronic nephropathies in stages 1-3 of CKD is eccentric hypertrophy of the left ventricle. LV diastolic dysfunction was most often diagnosed in patients with CRF (23.3%).
