Ecological Characteristics of Halophytic Plants of the Republic of Karakalpakstan

The article discusses the ecological characteristics of halophytic plants growing in the territory of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, characterized by a high degree of soil salinity and an arid climate. An analysis of the floristic composition, growing conditions, adaptation mechanisms to salinity, as well as the role of halophytes in stabilizing ecosystems and combating desertification is carried out. The importance of these plants for agriculture and environmental protection measures is noted. The results of the study can be used in the development of measures for the sustainable use of natural resources and the restoration of disturbed landscapes of the Aral Sea region.
