Environmental assessment of surface water in the Republic of Karakalpakstan (by the example of the Amudarya river)

The article discusses the environmental assessment of surface waters in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, using the example of the Amudarya River. The waters of the Amudarya River belonged to the hydrocarbonate class with a mineralization of 0.3-0.5 g/dm3. With the growth of anthropogenic loads, the increase in water intake from the river and the discharge of untreated collector and drainage water into it, the water quality of the Amudarya River has deteriorated.
