The article presents the results of study of 12 varieties of spring soft wheat from the Kazakhstan-Siberian nursery in 2017-2018 (KASIB-18). 6 geographical test points were located in Kazakhstan, 9 points in the Russian Federation. The following varieties were involved in the trials: Pamyati Azieva, Tertsiya, Astana 2, Omskaya 35, Saratovskaya 29, Lutescens 90-12, OmGAU-100, Stolypinskaya 2, Tyumenskaya yubileynaya, Tyumenochka, Silach, Element 22. The ecological plasticity and stability of varieties according to grain yield was determined following the the method by S.A. Eberhart and W.A. Russell (1966). Significant differences were noted between the classes studied in terms of yield and indicators of plasticity and stability. The most stable were the varieties Saratovskaya 29 and Pamyati Azieva, under harsh climatic conditions these varieties had a yield above average. The Element 22 and Silach varieties, which had the highest yields among the classes studied under the most favourable conditions, were identified; in unfavourable environmental points these varieties were characterized by high grain yield. Intensive varieties with high genetic potential for yield should be cultivated under the most favourable conditions. In dry environments, varieties distinguishing themselves for crop stability with high adaptive potential are recommended.
