The article is devoted to the analysis of the compiled dictionary of basic concepts, terms and definitions in the field of ecol- ogy in Russian and Mongolian. The rationale is given for the need to study the terminology of the science of ecology at the Civil Defence Academy EMERCOM of Russia by cadets studying at the faculty for the training of foreign specialists to solve global environmental problems.
