Environmental problems of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)

This article discusses the environmental problems of Yakutia, their types, causes and consequences. The presence of waste generation is increasing every year, which causes pollution of the soil, groundwater, atmosphere and harm to human health. To study the causes and consequences of environmental problems, reports on the environmental situation from 2017 to 2020 were used by the Ministry of Ecology, Nature Management and Forestry of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The conducted research has shown that the main causes of environmental problems are natural phenomena, the human factor and the activities of mining companies.
