Major applied (innovation) environmental researches, aimed at achieving a city sustainable development, are discussed. Various aspects of creation of the ecological atlas of the city, development of territorial complex schemes of environmental protection (TerCSEP), environmental audit of territories are considered in detail. Considered examples of this sort of work in Togliatti considered, and recommendations for enhancing such studies are made.
