Ecological network of Vytegra district in Vologda region

In article results of work on formation of ecological network of Vytegra district in Vologda region on the basis of landscape approach are stated. For a basis of ecological network the net of safeguarded natural territories existing on territory of district is accepted. Total area of safeguarded lands in district - 28,8% from the area of district, key terri-tories occupy only 6,2%. The existing net of protected areas does not cover all variety of types of the natural bounda-ries presented in landscapes of Vytegra district. In work the project of ecological network is offered. It includes 14 new key territories, their organization will allow to reflect landscape structure of district more full. The total area of key territories will increase up to 10,3%.
