Environmental awareness as a factor of sustainable development of society: transformation of views from anthropocentrism to ecocentrism

The article examines the role of the formation of ecological consciousness as a key condition for the sustainable development of modern society. The article analyzes the evolution of views from anthropocentrism, in which a person puts himself in the center of nature, to ecocentrism, which recognizes the equal importance of all components of the ecosystem. Special attention is paid to the need to revise value orientations, which will integrate environmental principles into everyday life and social structure.
