Ecologization of production as a basis of competitiveness of forestry enterprises

Ecology and economy throughout the 20th century evolved as two separate fieldsof knowledge. However, in the beginning of the 21st century, it became clear thatscience was more relevant to the development of ecological-economic direction.Today's environment dictates a new direction of production, it is the pulse of newtechnological solutions, new trends in interaction between production and nature,which is the use of low-waste and resource-saving technologies. That is why itbecomes relevant to focus not on the production itself, but ecological production.The article highlights the issues related to the impact of environmental standardson international competitiveness of timber products. The authors emphasize theconcept of “cleaner production” for the wood processing industry, they point tothe importance of cleaner production and competitiveness within the economicglobalization.
