The article presents the results of research carried out within the framework of the branch research program of the Federal service for supervision of consumer rights protection and human welfare in Ufa, Salavat and Sterlitamak of the Republic of Bashkortostan (RB). The results confirm the possibility of carcinogenic and non-carcinogenic risks to the health of the population of these cities in the use of drinking water of centralized water supply. Cadmium, Benz(a)pyrene, beryllium, arsenic, chloroform, bromodichloromethane, dibromchloromethane, pentachlorophenol, chromium (hexavalent) and other technogenic products of economic activity, as well as substances formed during irradiation, disinfection and chlorination of drinking water make a significant contribution to the total values of carcinogenic and non-carcinogenic risks.
