Environmental and economic evaluation of spring barley cultivation on sloping lands

The article presents the results of studies of the influence of the main methods of tillage on the manifestation of erosion processes on the crops of spring barley in a multi-factor stationary experiment, located on the slope of the beam Big Log Aksai district of Rostov region. Have been studied two systems of basic treatment of soil: combination (chisel) and moldboard treatment adopted for the control option. The parameters of melt and storm water runoff are determined. The amount of soil washed away as a result of snow melting and rainfall is studied. The value of energy-saving methods of basic soil treatment, which allows to reduce the amount of fertilizers required to restore soil fertility on the slopes prone to water erosion. It is shown that the combined soil treatment can reduce the damage from the lost sunflower harvest. The costs of the main technological operations during the cultivation of spring barley are estimated.
