Environmental and economic problems agricultural wastewater disposal

Main stages of development of waste water utilization technology in agriculture are considered. At different stages, either the environmental aspects of recycling or the aspects of irrigation shortages were prioritized. The curtailment of agricultural recycling technology began with the invention and widespread distribution of treatment facilities. At the same time, it is emphasized that these structures could not stop the growth of pollution of the natural hydrosphere. As a result, most irrigation systems on the planet actually use wastewater. Issues of return to agricultural recycling as closed systems of water use develop are considered.
