Economic security of the public sector: risk analysis and evaluation of anti-corruption measures

The consequence of committing official crimes is always the infliction of financial, property, reputational, and other damage to the state, organizations, or citizens. Protection against official crimes is an essential component of the economic security system of any institution or organization. The public sector is characterized by clear legislative regulation and supervision of all economic processes and activities of organizations within it. The authors of this article have identified common features, as well as strengths and weaknesses, specific to the functioning of public sector organizations, which has allowed them to assess the effectiveness of the system for combating official crimes in public sector organizations. Based on this, the main ways of solving the problems that arise when building an organization’s economic security system were formulated. The main focus was on financing the public sector and optimizing the number of employees.
