This work is devoted to the study of the socio-economic impact of using portable microelectric power plants to independently provide electricity to mountainous areas that are not connected to a single energy grid. It is emphasized that such systems provide an opportunity to provide residents with access to a stable and environmentally friendly source of electricity, reduce the need for imported fuel and reduce the cost of delivering energy resources. An emphasis is placed on a comparative study with diesel power plants and solar panels, and the advantages of microelectric power plants during continuous operation throughout the year are determined. Attention is focused on the fact that the introduction of such technological solutions contributes to improving the standard of living in remote settlements, stimulates the growth of the local economy and meets the principles of environmentally sustainable development and "green" energy.
