Results of the seminal progeny test carried out on Scotch pine plus trees and aspen hybrids are considered. The use of the aspen hybrid material was instrumental in receiving plantations that exceeded actual reserves by 2-3 times. The best types of hybrids demonstrated record stocks of healthy steam wood (267-508 m 3/ha at the age of 29 years).
