The article highlights the theoretical approaches to the definition of the concepts of economic instability, unemployment, the economic system, the characteristics of economic instability are considered and the signs of economic instability are identified, the classification of internal disturbances depending on their manifestation is also presented, the differences between disturbances and shifts are described, the issues related to economic instability are considered.
