The article deals with theoretical and methodological foundations in interpreting works of one of the economic sociology’s founder in the modern economic theories. The timeliness of considering Max Weber’s works is determined, on the one side, by abstract economic theory’s inability to explain socio-cultural phenomena of economic life, on the other side, by methodological pluralism of Weber’s paradigm, which opens new possibilities for economic science. The article emphasizes contradictory character of selective interpretation of Max Weber’s theories, in spite of positive meaning for some economic sciences’ development.
